  • Hmmmm it has been a while since I've posted on here.... Lets see.....

I've been quite busy with school as you might imagine. It's really no fun, but it'll be over soon, so I guess I can rejoice in that

Cru has been good. I've been meeting with a few different guys, and I think it's been beneficial for all involved (so I hope anyhow ;-P) The bible study I've been leading has really seemed to come together as a group and I am thankful for that. We're doing a lot of changing and such, I think that'll be interesting. It might just free me up to be more.... I'm going to say tangibly involved with the ministry. Get back down into the actual happenings of it instead of just the talking, that'll be good I think. I've been a lot more involved with dorm folks which is really good. Finally starting to feel like I'm in the loop ;-P

Gooosh it's been an interesting semester. I am actually satisfied looking back on it (lets see if I say the same thing once finals are done O_O) I feel like I've learned a lot, made a lot of good new friends, stretched a lot as a person, and learned to lean on God more'n I ever have in the past. I'm pumped for DCC and next semester, lets see where they take me....

Well I can't really think of anything else to put on here.... Hope all is well with you xanga folks, and I'll try and keep up with this thing a lil better, tood-aloo!

Since I'm here bored at work and I don't want to read Jane Eyre anymore here's a post...

A good weekend had I. Friday I hung out most of the day and then went to a salsa deal for a little while. I got to see Mercy and Jisoo neither of whome had I seen in a long time. There was dancing and such, an all around good time. Saturday I had to wake up at about 5:40 to go to work -_- But I think I had some answered prayer there cause I got up easily and wasn't drop dead tired all day. Work was hectic but I managed. After that Paul, Chris, and I wents shopping fer a bit. We watched a bit of a nap, but after a while the popular vote went to nap time. My friend Jess was in town, so she came and visited, got the grand tour, and then we all went out to dinner and a movie. The Departed is really good! We all had a good time hanging out, and joking around. Nothing like getting to talk about good ol project times ;) After that she went home and I conked out. Church was good as usuall. A guy from voice of the Martyrs spoke about Islam and then I helped out downstairs again. I hads a good time. Now I'm at work. I like Sundays here. Lots of time to relax, read, and listen to moosic.

I was reading in me ante-nicene fathers book earlier and that was good times. I read some interesting stuff so I'll give ye a highlight here: Non-trinitarian folks will often try to make the argument that the trinity was an idea formulated in later times (they'd probably say in the 300 or 400s) and not believed by early Christians. Lo and behold though, while reading Ignatius I found a spot where he explicitly states that Jesus is God, and since he died in 107 AD I'm going to venture to say he was an "early Christian" It's usually pretty affirming to read early church history stuff.

Also when going through Psalms I found a verse I like. Psalm 86:11 is "Teach me your way, O Lord, and I will walk in your truth; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name" Yar harrr.

K I'm getting bored typing, so I'm going to mosey, tood-aloo!

  • Well my brother did end up getting to visit me and that was really good. We got to hang out some and talk and all that jaaaazz.  He came to the cru meeting here and I brought him along to ze barn dance as well. He seemed to think the meeting was ok, but he hates country music and dancing so the barn dance was kind of a bust Overall though, I had a good time with him, I just wish we had more opprotunities to hang out. Oh and we totally whooped up in team SSBM, take that hippy roommates ;P

Went to Mardel and bought stuff Saturday when my mom came for Joe. Going to Marderl is always a joyous occasion for me ;P

The barn dance was really fun! Most of the stuff we learned was really simple, which is a huge plus for me since I am terrrible at dancing. That whole lack of rhythm and coordination thing kinda hurts me. I did enjoy it though. Amanda and I danced for a bit and decided that we were "equally yoked" in dancing ;P We pretty much totally nailed it though. Other than dancing it was good to hang out with folks and have a bon fire. Yar harrrr

Today was good. Sunday school was about the same as usual and then I went to do the pre school thang, and that was greeeeat. Working with kids is so much fun. While we wait for all the kids to arrive we have em watch movies and this week it was cartoon music videos based on Bible passages (very corny) and while the kids watched they would occasionally get up and dance. In case you were wondering, that's a sight to see Then during story time Chloe (see last weeks entries) walks up to me and is talking in a low whisper about random two year old stuff, which is pretty funny, and then she turns around and starts paying attention to the story. She's standing in front of me and I'm sitting Indian style, after a while she like looks behind her and carefully steps closer to me and then plops down on my lap, and then just continues listening to the story. It was very, very cute :-p After that I was in the room where kids like play with toys and are supposed to learn a lesson, and well that was interesting. You try teaching 8 kids a lesson! I doubt the kids learned much, but we all had a good time. The boys built trains and then eventually guns out of big legos. Hope made a castle which, as I am told, had a princess living in it, and then a lot of kids played with the toy washer and dryer and the McDonalds thing. Afterwords we had story time again. I was sitting there waiting for all the kids to sit down and Chloe walks up to me, and says "Shhhhh, my kitties are sleeping." with her finger over her mouth. I ask her what kitties she was talking about and it turns out she ment the ones on her dress pattern. Me and the other teacher who was sitting there were very amused. There's really nothing like wathcing two year olds dance and talk about sleeping kitties. I really do enjoy doing preschool Sunday school

After church me, Paul, Chris, a girl from Calvary, and the Roger's family all went to lunch at Ryan's. The food was tasty and we swapped funny stories about past jobs we'd had and teachers we thought were funy and all other manner of random things. Eventually the staff came out and sang for Jolayne since it was her birthday. It was funny to see these really apathetic tired looking people sing a song where they mentioned how excited they were

Now I sit at work and am lazy, it is good times indeed. That about does it for Mr. Adams, hope you all enjoyed my disjointed rambelings!
